Vacation Bible School
We made the difficult decision to cancel our in-person Vacation Bible School summer 2020. VBS is one of the highlights of our year, and we are committed to keeping our community and neighborhood safe during this troubling time. However, we are looking at other options to engage the community, and will update our website if we create another option.

Bulletin for 9/20 - HERE
We have made the difficult decision, as we make plans for the upcoming seasons of the Church Year here at Advent, that we will not resume in-person worship until at least 2021, worshiping only online for the remainder of 2020.
Here is a video message from Pastor Scott, talking about this decision, and encouraging us to stay connected.
The Season of "Advent" is a time of waiting, we are in such a time. We are waiting and working and working and waiting. Every person in our community is important and your voice is important.
If you would like to provide input or have recommendations please send it via email to the Advent Reopening Task Force.
Your voice matters!
Prayers and God’s peace be with you.
Advent Prayer Time
Advent is a praying congregation! Let's combine some of our prayers each week from our own homes. While we're not able to gather together in the Sanctuary to offer prayers, we can set aside Thursday evenings as a time of collective, common prayer from our homes. Please use Advent Prayer Time to pray for our community, for our neighborhood, for our world. Thank you for your prayers!
(may this video, which has our Psalm for Sunday and an opening prayer, help get you started with your prayers.)

We extend our welcome to people of all races, cultures and colors; to people of all sexual orientations; to people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities; to people of every legal, economic and marital status; and to all those whom the world seeks to separate, divide, or isolate.
We celebrate your identity as a gift from God, and we welcome you to a diverse community united by our faith. We welcome you to receive God’s grace given to all regardless of our worldly successes or failures.
Welcome one another therefore, just as Christ has welcomed you for the glory of God.
